The coco peat discs are a tried-and-true replacement for peat moss, rock wool, or perlite that not only works better than most peat brands but also lessens the amount of peat extracted from numerous ecologically fragile swamps across the globe. Because of their great porosity, which promotes strong root development, and ability to absorb 4-5 liters of water—nearly eight times their weight—the discs are incredibly useful.
